Indy Mortimer

Indy Mortimer joined Preston Law in 2026 and is a valued member of the Local Government team. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws and brings a practical, people-focused approach to her work, supported by a strong background in client service and a genuine commitment to advocating for others.

Before entering the legal industry, Indy worked in client-facing roles for 10 years. This experience strengthened her ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life, build trust quickly, and respond with empathy and professionalism in a range of circumstances. Her passion for helping others, together with her ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, led her to pursue a career in law.

Indy also brings a broader perspective to her role through her experience living in Cape York, which gave her insight into some of the unique challenges faced by remote communities. This understanding supports her thoughtful and informed approach when assisting clients from diverse backgrounds.
