Indianna Saxon

Indianna joined the Preston Law team in 2023 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Business earlier that year and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in December of 2024.
During her traineeship Indianna has gained experience primarily in our commercial and local government law teams assisting clients in a range of matters. She has been involved in providing advice to private and local government clients primarily in relation to property related matters with a focus on the preparation, and negotiation of leases, licence agreements, and user agreements as well as enforcement measures under such.
Indianna continues to work in our commercial law and local government law teams under the supervision of Partners, Danielle and Julian.
Indianna’s experience includes:
- Preparing and negotiating leases, management agreements, licence agreements, user agreements, and tenure resolution programs for various different land tenures and asset types;
- Assisting local governments to manage and respond to right to information applications;
- Assisting local governments in the review and preparation of delegation registers under various legislation, including local laws;
- Assisting local governments in the review and development of various policies;
- Assisting local governments in land acquisition processes;
- Assisting local governments with a range of enforcement and compliance matters devolved to Council;
- Assisting local governments with the preparation of Council and Trustee reports;
- Drafting sale and purchase contracts for both land and businesses and assisting clients with the process from contract preparation to settlement; and
- Research assistance.
