David Kempton

As one of the most experienced land tenure practitioners in Queensland, David brings to Preston Law a lifetime of experience in the pastoral industry.

After 30 years in general practice across three states, David now specialises in land tenure and property rights issues as they affect rural landholders.

Specifically, David practises in the areas of lease renewals and conversions, land tenure, native title, vegetation management, water licences, nature conservation agreements, wild river applications, property plans and development applications as they affect pastoral properties.

David is regularly reviewing decisions of the State in the appeal courts to ensure existing rights to own and use pastoral leases are not further eroded.
